Our Programs
Childspace offers nurturing, play-based care designed around each stage of early childhood. Classroom placement is guided by developmental readiness and relationships, not just age.
Birth to Early Toddlerhood
Our youngest children (ages 3 months and up) are cared for in a calm, responsive environment rooted in secure attachment.
Teachers follow each child’s cues for feeding, rest and play. Daily rhythms are predictable yet flexible, allowing infants and young toddlers to build trust, language, motor skills and emotional confidence at their own pace.
This stage is about connection first. When children feel safe and seen, learning unfolds naturally.
Toddlers
Our toddler program supports growing independence through movement, exploration and open-ended play.
Children spend their days engaged in sensory experiences, outdoor discovery, imaginative play and meaningful social interaction. Teachers model language, guide problem-solving and help toddlers name and navigate big emotions.
Transitions into this program are based on readiness, not just age, ensuring children feel confident in their next step.
Nature Preschool (Ages 4–5)
Our Nature Preschool is designed for children ages 4 and 5 who are preparing for kindergarten.
Grounded in outdoor exploration and play-based learning, this program builds early literacy, collaboration skills and resilience through hands-on experiences in nature. Children spend significant time outdoors in all seasons, developing curiosity, confidence and a strong sense of community.
Nature Preschool offers a gentle bridge between early childhood and elementary school while preserving the joy of play.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Is there currently a wait list?
Childspace is actively enrolling students in all three programs: Infant, Toddler, and the Nature Preschool.
Do children play outside daily?
Yes! When and how long we play outside is determined by the “real feel” temperature. We almost always spend significant time outdoors, and outdoor play is a big part of our philosophy.
How do you communicate with caregivers?
We communicate with caregivers by logging regular updates in the Brightwheel app. You can also expect to see photos throughout the day!
What are your teachers’ qualifications?
The top qualification we look for is a person's ability to build positive relationships and use those to love, guide, and provide care for young children. Some people do this naturally and others learn it through experience and/or education. All teachers take a ten hour orientation training and an additional 12 hours of training per year, as required by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning.
What is your curriculum?
We do not use a pre-packaged curriculum. We provide environments, activities, and materials that are appropriate for the age and development of each group of children, and then we observe to see how we can support and expand on their explorations, experiences, and interests.
Do you provide meals and/or snacks?
Because our program is very small, we do not provide meals or snacks. Parents pack lunch and snacks that meet their child's and family's preferences. We have a mini-refrigerator and microwave in each room.

We loved sending our little one to Childspace! Such caring teachers and directors. We sent our daughter for over a year and could not be happier with the experience. She really did thrive there and we could tell she loved going there. The directors have built a safe and loving space for children, and we are super grateful for our time with them. Thank you Kelly and Childspace for everything! As first time and working parents, this place has earned a space in our hearts. When moving out of state for work, I think the hardest part was leaving Childspace. We would have stayed with them longer if we didn’t move. 100% recommended!

Childspace has given our vibrant and independent child a school family to support him as he learns to navigate schools, friendships, and learning. Our family appreciates how every child is valued for their individuality. It has truly been the best preschool environment for him.
