Unique Community-Focused Program
Each day will include a quiet reading time (bring your favorite book), art projects, and outdoor activities in our nature playground, huge lawn, and neighboring public park. This program is designed to introduce children to community service projects in State College and University Park. Examples of projects include: maintaining community gardens, delivery affirmations to business around town (library, elderly), having a bake sale/lemonade stand to raise funds for a charity of their choosing, creating care packages for essential workers, building bird houses, planting trees and exploring town and campus by CATA bus. Children will be encouraged to work as a team to brainstorm ideas and action steps.
