Loving, Attentive, Personal Care
Our mixed-age, small-group classroom for infants and young toddlers provides a cozy, homey space where children feel like they are cared for by family.  Teachers have time to carefully observe children so they can follow their lead and need for snuggling, play, encouragement, and personal care.

We check diapers at least every two hours and follow each child's lead to know when they are hungry or tired.  In this room, children sleep and eat on their own schedules.  The family provides all food and fluids to avoid allergy triggers.

Staying Connected
Parents can check updates and message teachers throughout the day using the Brightwheel app.  We have photos of each child's family displayed in the room at the children's level.
Sensory Experiences
Babies and young toddlers learn through their senses.
Throughout the day, teachers offer children interesting things to see, hear, touch, smell, and mouth.  Teachers talk to children about what they are doing during personal care routines
.  We listen to music, look at books, and offer appropriate toys and activities to each child based on their individual needs and interests.  Our outdoor spaces provide daily opportunities to see, hear, smell, and touch the natural world.   Most young children naturally respond to and delight in music, so we play familiar music and new music regularly.
Exploring their World
Teachers get to know each child's personality and development in order to provide the right balance of safety and encouragement to try new skills using a wide variety of safe, age appropriate toys, activities, and materials in the classroom and on the playground.  We also regularly sanitize toys and surfaces using a natural product, and we steam-clean our baby room floor everyday.
